Marion Coutts is apparently an artist and lecturer in art but the standard of writing in this account of her husband's illness is quite outstanding. Her forensic attention to detail reminds me of Karl Ove Knausguard but I imagine the pain of such a retelling must have been exhausting rather than cathartic.
